All Things Phil

As you may have noted, I’m Phil. I’ve been [dis]gracing the internet with my presence since November 2005. I’m a native to New Mexico, and am about to become a temporary transplant to California, where I’ll be on loan for the duration of graduate school.

At some point in my early blogging days, I settled on “All Things Phil” because I thought it sounded kinda cool. It’s since taken on a meaning and dimension all its own. Take that as you will, but I’ve found it an apt expression for not only what gets blogged here, but also the discoveries I’ve made about myself along the way.

My personal philosophy of blogging is as follows: this is my website. I reserve the right to my own opinion. I reserve the right to create my own statistics or facts and use them as I see fit. I take full responsibility for what’s found on this website, unless I feel blame should be pointed elsewhere, in which case I’m happy to pass the buck. I think Eric Cartman from South Park best sums up my stance in this regard: “Wha’evar! I do what I want!”
